I’m a Writer for Best of Orlando

If you’ve been following me for a while then you know I began my studies in undergrad as a biology major. I was pre-med for two and a half years with a minor in creative writing. I loved studying medicine, and I loved studied writing, but as the years went on, I realized I didn’t enjoy any of the jobs associated with the medical field. I switched majors back and forth between biology and creative writing so many times, I lost count. I didn’t want to stop learning about biology, but I knew in my heart that I would drop everything at the chance to write full time.

Novel writing is my true passion and life purpose. I’ve been writing stories for as long as I can remember. I finished four novels (60,000-90,000 words) in undergrad, and so many novellas throughout middle school and high school. I was afraid to pursue writing because I was told so many times that being an author “wasn’t a real job” and that I’d never make any money with an English degree. Well, finally, I just didn’t care anymore. I knew that if I wanted to be an author, I had to dedicate all my time to the craft. I decided I didn’t care how much money I made, as long as I could write, I would be happy. So, on a leap of faith, I switched my major to Creative Writing one last time and never looked back.

I’m so excited to announce today that I am a writer for the online magazine, Best of Orlando. Not only am I able to do what I love most in the world, but I’m able to share my excitement for Disney at the same time. Orlando made a huge impact on my life, since I lived there while earning my Bachelor’s degree, and still frequent the area often; so, I feel incredibly honored that I’m able to contribute to a magazine that shares my same enthusiasm for the city.

Best of Orlando is an online website that updates you on everything going on in Orlando, from theme parks, shows, attractions, tours, hotels, news, guides, and more. If you’re looking for something fun going on in the area, they have all the information you need to know about every upcoming event!

Here are a few of articles that I have already published:

A Grand Tea Party at the Grand Floridian for Every Little Prince and Princess

Trick or Treat at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Disappear at the AbracadaBar on Disney’s Boardwalk

I enjoyed writing each of these articles so much, and I hope you enjoy reading them as well. Continue to look for my articles as they’re published! You can find my author page that contains everything I’ve written here.

Thank you all for following along and supporting me. And, please, if you take anything away from this post, make sure to always follow your passion.
